This was a simple reverse engineering job to allow the customer, who produces the handmade copper roses, to make the production process more efficient. We achieved this by introducing laser cutting to create the petal templates.
The profiles (below right) show the hand drawn templates that were provided. These were then reverse engineered, copying the profiles and checking against the new 1:1 scale templates (below left).
Samples were provided to the customer for checking and approval. The correct CAD files were then produced and supplied so that the items could be laser cut in batches, rather than individually hand cut, before shaping to produce the final finished item (shown above).
